The Committee promised to review the method used for competitions, namely the rotation of handicap order.
A cross-section of members were approached for their view. The Committee agreed a fair representation of the membership were consulted.
We are hereby notifying all members the following revision to the way in which draws for competitions and associated aspects will operate.
The 3 time slots will remain.
The 6 week advance entry system will remain.
Fun comps:-
Pairs will continue to be drawn with another pair.
3 or 4 Person Team members can request who they team up with.
Qualifying comps:-
Stablefords etc. will be drawn randomly.
Medals will remain in handicap order.
Please note the buggy sharing, travelling together, and ‘will not play with’ exceptions remain.
Members are not entitled to specific tee times. This is wholly unfair on other members.
These changes will come into effect from 1st June 2024. Any member disagreeing with the changes should write to the Committee.
A further review will be undertaken in the future.
