Dear Match Play Participants,
As advertised, there will a pause of all Knock-Out Matches in July & August however matches may be played as follows:
– players MAY complete their next round in Jul/Aug should both/all parties agree without limitation, or
– by Mon 29 Sep (since all remaining round deadlines will now be extended)
Last 8 – Mon 25 Aug to Mon 29 Sep
Last 4 – Mon 6 Oct to Mon 10 Nov
Last 2 – Mon 17 Nov to Mon 15 Dec
The website KO Draws have been updated to reflect the timetabling changes
No doubt you will agree that we have witnessed the difficulty of some senior players to complete rounds in the extreme heat conditions that have prevailed during the past fortnight.
It is incumbent on the organising committee and management to factor in such conditions by offering an extension (should players wish to avail themselves of this flexible arrangement) to complete their next round by late Sep rather than during Jul/Aug as per the current published timetable.
A flexible common sense approach will now take precedence rather than enforcing a round deadline, and potential medical harm to participating players, in Jul/Aug.
