The Seniors Order of Merit Competition that was to be held on Monday 15th January, 2018 has been re-scheduled to Tuesday 30th January, 2018. I have taken this step due to the Course Maintenance planned for Monday, as some greens may not be available.
The 30th January was going to be a Texas Scramble, but will now be a Stableford, so that those who do not qualify as a Senior may still play. I will put a new sheet in the red book (along with some others), but if you cannot get your name down in time, just e-mail and I will include you in the draw.
To qualify as a Senior, you must be 50 years old or over on 30th January, 2018. To qualify for the Super Seniors, you must be 65 years old or over on that date as well. Best 7 of 10 Stableford Scores to count (off yellow and red tees).
Troon Trophy.
This competition is an Order of Merit Stableford, with your best 8 scores counting – you may enter a maximum of 10 times through out the year. This competition is played on a Tuesday and a weekend, with 20 dates scheduled through out the year. I will put in entry sheets for this month tomorrow, but again if you cannot get to the Club, please e-mail me.
Given there are 20 dates, when you put your name down to play, you must state that this is one of your qualifying rounds. You can still play in this competition after your 10 entries or if you do not wish that round to be a qualifying round, as there will be day prizes for each round. A great competition, so be sure you get your rounds in!

I have also attached the Winners Sheets for the last two competitions. The prizes for The January Medal will be awarded at a Presentation Evening on 9th March, 2018 – more details to follow, but I can tell you that there will be a golf quiz as part of the entertainment.
