this is a gentle reminder that the sign-up for the Presentation Dinner closes on Thursday, January 23rd as announced earlier.
The Dinner is intended to be a friendly and an enjoyable event for the members, their families and friends to celebrate the completion of the 2024 club competitions and to congratulate the winners. The 2024 Committee has done a tremendous work (getting hundreds of euros rebate to the members, after years of neglect updating all the prizes and trophies, streamlining the winners’ announcement and remuneration process, and lots of other positive changes) and it would be nice if these achievements are celebrated together.
If some of you think that not coming to the Dinner (boycotting it same as the Championship, the Captain’s Day, etc. ) would somehow hurt the Captain, I can assure you that it will not, and this has been proven during the aforementioned very successful events. The Presentation Dinner will equally be very successful. For the first time ever, it will feature a live concert with singers and dancers and those attending will have a great time.
As one of the past UK’s Prime Ministers said: “We mustn’t nurse old grudges but build new friendships”.
