Renovation Works Update – Locker Rooms & Driving Range

Dear Members,
As part of our continued programme of improvements at Columbia Secret Valley, further renovation works will be taking place next week, with the main areas affected being the locker rooms and Driving Range.
Locker Rooms
Works are scheduled to take place in the Ladies' Locker Room on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September.
Renovation works will then continue in the Men's Members' and Visitor Locker Rooms from Wednesday 23 to Friday 25 September.
During these periods, access to the respective locker rooms will be limited, and the showers and toilets within the affected locker rooms will be temporarily out of use. The toilets upstairs in the Clubhouse will remain open as normal. The works will include general repairs, improvements to walls and tiling, painting, and the replacement of existing fixtures and fittings within the shower and toilet areas.
Driving Range
The Driving Range will be closed for the full day on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September.
This closure is necessary to allow essential clearing works to be carried out to the riverbed and riverbanks directly in front of the Driving Range. For the safety of the team carrying out these works, we kindly ask that no balls are hit onto the range during this period.
Thank you for your understanding while these works are carried out. Further updates will follow to keep you informed of ongoing improvements and developments around the Club.

CHARITY QUIZ NIGHT AT ​COLMBIA SECRET VALLEY GOLF CLUB

Following the renovations in the Clubhouse, the next Charity Quiz
night will be on Friday 25th September, starting at 7pm.


All proceeds from the evening will go to the St. Michael’s Hospice in
Paphos.

The Quizmaster on the evening will be Trevor Fordham, ably assisted
by his wife Meg.

The maximum number of people per team will be 6 people.
Please contact myself at [email protected] if you are able to
attend, and the number of people attending.
If you do not have enough to make up a table, please contact me and
that can be arranged prior to the quiz.

Food will be available at the Clubhouse prior to the Quiz, up until
6.00 pm, with a special menu for the evening.
But anyone wishing to eat, MUST pre-book beforehand. So please
contact me for the menu available.

Remembering Brenda Churcher

Dear Members,

I am very pleased to tell you that we have agreement from management to run a memorial competition for Brenda Churcher. 
Brenda passed away in early 2026 and is sadly missed.
Brenda was the First Lady Club Captain for Secret Valley Golf Club and was Lady Club Champion in 2010;2011;2013 and 2014.
To honour her memory we will be running a fun competition on Tuesday 27th October 2026.

The format will be a team waltz 1-2-3 and entries can be made either as a team of four or as individuals. This will be a free competition but donations will be welcome. Brenda and her husband Keith were staunch supporters of St Michael’s Hospice. Any monies raised will be donated to the Hospice in her name.
There will be a drinks and nibbles provided at the Halfway House.
There will be prizes for the first three teams and following the competition there will be presentations on the balcony. I am very pleased to say that Keith Churcher will be attending and so hope to see as many of you on the balcony as possible.

The 150 Club draw took place today in the clubhouse after the heavens opened, lightening was above and the hooter was sounded to end today's competition.

Clubhouse Refurbishment – Temporary Disruption

Dear Members,
As part of the ongoing clubhouse refurbishment programme, further improvement works will be carried out from Sunday afternoon 30th August through to Wednesday 2nd September. These works have been scheduled to coincide with the planned greens renovation period in order to minimise disruption to members and normal golf operations as much as possible.
On Sunday afternoon, the restaurant and kitchen will remain open until 15:30. After this time, the restaurant and bar areas will be closed while painting, flooring, electrical and deep-cleaning works are carried out, and there will be no food or drink service available at the clubhouse until Thursday.
Cleaning and repair works will also be taking place in the ground-floor toilet and locker room facilities, which may result in some temporary restrictions on access. Should you need to access the locker rooms during this time, please speak to a member of the Pro Shop or Caddymaster team, who will be happy to assist.
The Pro Shop and practice area will remain open throughout, with toilet facilities available at the practice area.
The works are scheduled to be completed by Wednesday afternoon, with the affected clubhouse areas expected to return to normal operation from Thursday, 3rd September.
We apologise for any temporary inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we progress with these improvements.

Clubhouse Update – Updated Drinks Pricing

Dear Members,
With the summer heat continuing, we hope you’re all managing to stay cool and enjoy your golf.
Renovation works at the clubhouse are progressing well and remain on schedule for completion by the end of September. We continue to appreciate your patience while these improvements are being carried out.
As a further positive update, the price of a draft pint of KEO or Carlsberg is now €4.00, and as a member, you will receive a further 15% discount.
We hope this is a welcome change and gives members even more reason to enjoy the clubhouse before or after a round.

Course Schedule & Renovation Work (August – September)

Please find below important operational updates and schedule
changes for the upcoming period at Columbia Secret Valley Golf Resort:

Practice Greens Closure (Renovation Trials)

·  Monday 24th – Wednesday 26th August: Practice Greens will be closed for renovation trials.

Course Schedule Update

·  Sunday 30th August: 1st
Tee closes at 13:00

·  Monday 31st August: Closed

·  Tuesday 1st September: Closed

·  Wednesday 2nd September: Closed

·  Thursday 3rd September: Course
reopens at 09:00

On the days that the course is
closed, the Pro Shop, Caddy Masters and Driving Range will remain open.
