The CGF Handicaps Rules and Course Rating Committee have approved a new nationwide
Rules Education Initiative detailed below:
We want to start by offering each Club the opportunity to tap into the knowledge and
experience of our rules expert, Michele Miller (A R&A Level 3 Referee).

A customised session will be offered with emphasis on typical situations occurring on the
course, presented in a fun yet recognisable way. 2 or 3 key items will be covered, lasting
no more than 90 mins outside and 30 mins indoors. No previous knowledge of the rules is necessary.

Why is it beneficial? Some golfers have a desire to become better informed about the
Rules for their personal golfing benefit. Furthermore some want to progress to
recognised qualifications.

Ideally a minimum of 15 and maximum of 25 people are required for a successful session.
There will be various levels available to interested individuals. You never know, a
budding world class referee might be discovered.
Our Overall Objective is for well-informed golfers who would be able to proceed correctly
in the majority of common situations encountered on the course.

Michele has been booked to run the first session on Monday 8th January starting at 1pm.
