Secret Valley golf club together with “Rainbow in Cyprus” charity are pleased to inform you that thanks to your generous donations we would be able to assist two girls from Latvia rainbowcyprus.com/en/persons/daiga-with-daughters-eliza-and-tina (please follow the link) coming to the Paphos region for a vacation and cure. You would be able to meet the girls in person on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 when they will visit our Club to learn about golf and to take part in the Club Championship rewards ceremony.
I was advised that some of our members had reservations that “Rainbow in Cyprus” helps Russian children, and the members did not feel inclined to help. Firstly, I am shocked personally that diseased children are being singled out based on nationality and secondly, these two girls are coming from Latvia, an EU member state, where our three members: Tatiana and two others, are from.
As advised during the AGM the 2024 Committee has decided to spend members’ funds on members’ events and we have reduced the number of competitions where money paid in by the members are being allocated to the charity. At the same time we would like to encourage the members to give generously to the charity by buying Gold Membership and Parking Slot raffle tickets, by actively participating in the 150 Club and Quiz nights. The money you donate would make diseased children happy and could assist their recovery.
