Dear members,
I would like to thank all the members who have supported my charity this year. My goal is to rase 10,000 euros to support Autism in Cyprus. In addition to the funds we will donate, I will also be creating a website for them and my sister has agreed to take a volunteer role in marketing for them.
To date we have sold about 200 tickets @10 euros (so about 2,000 euros) for the Club Membership raffle. I plan to have Gala Dinner in October at which time we will do the draw for membership. But I need your support. Not just in buying raffle tickets, but in finding sponsors who will donate prizes. Things like restaurant meals, hotels stays, spa visits, etc. I woudl like to have lots of prizes at the Gala Dinner, with the membership being the GRAND PRIZE.
March 17th is St Patrick's. Day. Noel Greene has agreed to organize the festivities on the day. We will have a presentation afterwards, so all members are encouraged to stay afterwards for the presentation. The competition format will be a Reverse Waltz. I would like to thank in advance all the members who are donating prizes, food, time, etc.
We have now played 2 interclub matches. Away at Elea which we lost 7-3. and home against Minthis Hills which we won 5-1/2 to 4-1/2. All match results will be posted on the website. Our home match vs Elea is on March 22nd (in 2 weeks).
There are still dates available in the Captain Pro Challenge. In fact, March 15th is still available if anyone (team of 2) is interested.
