My year as Treasurer of Secret Valley will end today, the 31st January 2026. The Financial Statement for January 2026 is posted on the website, together with a Summary Statement for 2025. During the year, I tried to complete the financial data in a manner
that everyone understood the figures. I have had very few comments on the published figures, so can only assume that I achieved my goal.

I was going to present a Balance Sheet at the AGM but as this has been postponed and no new date has been given, below is a quick overview of the figures from 1st Feb 2025 to the 31st Jan 2026:

Money to the OOM Fund 1,170 (Given as prizes at the EOY)
Money to the MCF 148.55 (Members’ Competition Fund)
Spend from the MCF 1,318.93
Starting Balance of the MCF 2,660 + 148.55 – 1,318.93 = 1,489.62
A detailed breakdown of the above can be found on the website. The Balance of the MCF has now been handed back to the Club, to pass on to the new Committee. The 2025 Committee set a goal to reduce the MCF to Euros 1,500 and this has been achieved.
The Captain’s Charity, Ronald McDonald House Charity, received a total of Euros 19,467.21.
All details regarding Sponsors for the year are held directly by the Captain.
It has been reported for the last few years that any equipment held by the Club is of Nil value. No new equipment was purchased this year.
I would personally like to thank the Competition Secretary, Jamie Evans, for all his help in the production of the Winners’ Sheets, the Webmaster, Willie El-Fakir, for publishing all the financial data on the website, and the Pro Shop for producing the winners’

A huge thank you to the Comp Sec for his negotiating skills in getting 32 Club Trophies engraved. Some labels had to be redone, a couple of new plinths had to be purchased, a new trophy was obtained, all for a cost of Euros 305. A sum of Euros 260 was held
back from the KO’s and OOM comps for this purpose and, therefore, the balance of Euros 45 was taken from the MCF. Six trophies remain to be updated and the fee for these will have to be taken from the MCF, as they are for competitions where no money was collected.
