Dear Members,
The Cyprus Golf Federation (CGF) have directed that clubs monitor all Extra Day Scores (EDS) (also known a General Play
Scores) submitted by their members.
Maintaining a fair and accurate handicap system is
essential for the spirit of competition at Columbia Secret Valley Golf.
It has come to the attention of the Golf Operations Team
that some members are failing to properly submit or verify their EDS via the My CGF Portal.
To maintain World Handicap System and Cyprus Golf
Federation compliance and preserve fair play, all members must adhere strictly
to the following mandatory rules.
Mandatory Rules for Extra Day Scores (General
Play Rounds)

Pre-Registration Required: You must register your intent to
submit an EDS before you tee off, either online via the Members Website or via
the EDS Register in the Pro Shop.

Strict Timelines: Rounds can be pre-registered one day in
advance or on the day of play. You cannot register a card retroactively after
your round or the day after playing.

Acceptable Formats: All rounds must be played under an authorized
format, such as Stableford or Stroke-Play.
·
Rules of Golf: Players must follow the Rules of Golf
strictly and hole out every putt.
·
Verified Marker: You cannot play alone. Your round must be
witnessed and verified by at least one other member who holds an active CGF WHS
Handicap Index.

Rated Tees: Play must be conducted from tees with a
current, official Course Rating and Slope Rating.
·
Minimum Holes Completed: You must complete at least 10 holes
for an 18-hole score, or all 9 holes for a 9-hole score.
·
Correct Format Settings: When registering on My CGF, ensure you
select the correct course, tee color, and number of holes. You must also change
the HCP round field to “Yes” to mark it as a handicap qualifying
round.

Same-Day Submission: You must enter your hole-by-hole scores
before midnight on the same day the round is played.
·
Uncompleted Rounds: If you do not complete your round or fail to
submit your score, you must email the Competition Secretary immediately with a
valid reason at [email protected].
Enforcement and Penalty Structure
Failure to comply with these regulations
compromises the integrity of the handicap system and may result in the following actions:

Penalty Scores: The WHS system flags every EDS score
automatically. Failing to submit a pre-registered score, or submitting an
unverified score, may result in a Penalty Score being added to your handicap record.
·
Handicap Suspension: Intentionally choosing not to enter scores,
or selectively choosing which rounds to post to manipulate your Handicap Index,
will result in a formal review by the Golf
Operations Team and the potential suspension of your CGF WHS
handicap.
