Just to update you all on the health of Loukas Adamou who has undergone intensive therapies in his battle with cancer.
Loukas has just had the results of his last scan and the outlook is positive
as the treatment is working and there appears to be no sign of tumors. Good news for everyone close to this lovely young man. However, the cancer doctors at The German Oncology Clinic are being cautious and require that Loukas continue with Immune Therapy for at least another 9 months. This treatment doesn’t come without side effects and Loukas has endured seriously painful joints. Currently his fingers are very painful and it is causing his doctors some concern as they are worried about long term effects on his hands.
All this means that for the foreseeable future Loukas is unable to work as he has to continue trying to protect his immune system. He is also battling the problems of numbness and pain in his hands.
Loukas has endured so much over the last 2 years and he has remained so positive and mentally strong. He is extremely grateful to all members at SVGC who have helped to support him throughout this time. He tells me that he doesn’t have the words to express his gratitude.
