Cup & Trophy Return

Hello Members
This is a call-out for return of SV Cups and Trophies. Deadline –  24th December 2024.
We are approaching that time of year where those planning to be overseas for the festive season are making preparations.
Please do not forget to return any Knockout or Order of Merit Cups/Trophies to the Clubhouse trophy cabinet before 24 Dec latest.

Suspension of competition levy

Dear Member,

As advised in my preamble to the October Financial Statement, the Committee is actively engaged in identifying judicious ways in which to lower Members’ Funds, which are considered to be in excess of that prudently required to address unforeseen events/costs.

As part of this programme, the Committee is pleased to announce the SUSPENSION of the 10% levy to Members’ Funds applied to competition entry fees. This will have immediate effect, starting with today’s SVOOM competition, and remain until the end of January 2025. Any decision to re-instate the levy, and its level, will be made by the 2025 Committee based upon circumstances at that time.

The Committee recognises that those Members who support Committee organised competitions have created the surplus in Members’ Funds and regard the suspension of the 10% levy to be a direct way of specifically rewarding those Members.

Protection of Green Surrounds and Tee Boxes

Dear Members,
I hope this email finds you well.
In an effort to protect the green surrounds on Hole 4 during the coming winter months, electric and manual trollies must now remain on the buggy path at all times while on this hole. 
Additionally, as a general reminder, please ensure that trollies are kept at least 2 metres away from all other greens and tee boxes. This measure is essential for preserving the playing surfaces and ensuring the best experience for everyone.
Thank you for your attention and understanding. Your support in following these guidelines helps us keep the course in excellent condition.

Dear Club Members,

I am pleased to attach the Financial Statement for the nine month period ended 31st October.  The Committee is aware that Members Funds, at e4,213, are some way ahead of the Captaincy Year-end targeted amount of e2,500.  The Committee is actively considering judicious ways to make headway towards the year end target over the coming months.
