150 Club 2025 Update

Dear Member I am pleased to inform you that Kirill Lyushinsky has agreed to volunteer the significant Charity raising initiative “150 Club” again this year. He will now be chasing members for their money. You can pay the annual cost of €50 direct to our member Kirill L. or you can leave an envelope with the exact amount and your full name in the ProShop. Please let Kirill know if you wish to keep your number from last year. The first draw will be made in March 2025 on the terrace immediately after the comp. We will inform you about the exact date. The winners of the month will be notified via email by Kirill and/or the MembersRep if they were not present at the draw.

SVGC 2025 CAPTAIN’S DRIVE-IN

Saturday 1st of March 2025

Our Club Captain, Catrin Koring, has chosen a Team Waltz (Stableford points) for her Drive-in competition. Names are required in PAIRS please. If you enter as a single player you will get paired with other single players.

Teams of 4 will then be made up when our Captain arranges the Draw.

Please advise Catrin separately until the 21st of February if you have already entered and want to indicate who your partner is. [email protected]

There will be treats on the course at the 1st Tee and Halfway House.

Men: Yellow Tees

Ladies: Red Tees

Entry fee is €0

Tee times 07:00 to 09:50

Team Prizes: 1st and 2nd Place

Single prizes:

NTP on Holes 4; 10 and 16.

Men’s Longest Drive on 11

Ladies Longest Drive on 13.

You must be present to receive one of those prizes, if not, the prize will go to the next placed player. A player can win only one of the single prizes.

Guess the distance of the Captain’s drive – cost is €2 per guess. You can guess enter as many times as you want.

Please submit your guesstimates to the ProShop upon Registration. Please do not take the same distance as another player.

All of the proceeds go to this year’s charity “Ronald McDonald House Organisation”.

Presentation – after the Drive-in on the balcony for those in attendance, a complimentary drink and snack.

AGM Notice

Dear members,

After seeing the AGM notice sent by DoG on January 31, 2025 and upon intense consultations with the Committee members an Extraordinary Committee meeting is scheduled at 14:00 after the Club competition on Tuesday, February 4th.

The Committee finds it unconstitutional that the Management interferes with the 2025 Committee nominations and wants to completely change the usual democratic and transparent process when the nominations’ sheets are posted in the Club for everyone to sign up and to see, which has been followed every year.

Moreover, each nomination must be proposed and seconded by at least two members, which is absolutely impossible under the proposed new system when members are asked to directly send their own nominations to an unknown email address.

The Notice is also incorrect in stating that “Nominations received will be formally announced on Monday, 17th February 2025 along with the election procedure and proxy voting details” as the election procedure and voting rights are clearly defined in the Club Constitution.

Financial Statement for period to 31st January 2025

Dear Member,

I attach the Financial Statement for the twelve-month period ended 31st January 2025.

It is the data included in this Statement that I will address in my Treasurer’s Report at the forthcoming AGM. I will happily answer any question that the Membership present at that meeting with to raise.

I have received assurances from all Committee Members that they are unaware of any income or expenditure items that should be included in the Statement and that have been omitted. I similarly state that I believe that all financial matters pertaining to the Club’s finances have been duly recorded in the Statement.

Over past months, I have shown growing provision balances for financial liabilities for both Club and Charity related matters. I confirm that all of these liabilities have been fully discharged over the last ten days or so. Consequently, I confirm that this is a “clean” Statement where the assets of the Club (primarily Cash) are intact and free from any known future liabilities.
