Dear CSVG Members,

We are pleased to confirm that the annual CGF Cup will take place this year at Aphrodite Hills on Sunday 13^th December 2026.

This popular event brings together clubs from across the island for a Team Stableford tournament, with the best 6 scores from 8 players counting towards the team total.

The maximum handicap index is 24.0 for Men and 28.0 for Ladies.

The team representing Columbia Secret Valley Golf will consist of:

• 5 Men
• 3 Ladies

Qualification and Selection Process

Team selection will be based on results from the following CSVG competitions held throughout the season:

• CSVG Order of Merit (8 tournaments)
• CSVG Medal Order of Merit (10 tournaments)
• CSVG Stableford Order of Merit (10 tournaments)

A dedicated Men and Ladies CGF Cup Team Order of Merit (OOM) has been created on the Members Website: https://www.secretvalleygolfresort.net/order-of-merit/

Points are awarded based on finishing position in each event, using the same points system applied to the Medal, Stableford, and Secret Valley Order of Merit competitions.

In total, 28 qualifying tournaments will be played between 7th February (Stableford OOM 1) and the final event on 21st November (Medal OOM 10)

Each player’s best 18 results from these events will count towards their final CGF Cup Team ranking.

Team Invitations

At the conclusion of the qualifying period:

• The top 5 Men and top 3 Ladies will be invited to represent CSVG in the CGF Cup
• 1 reserve from each category will also be named

If an invited player is unable to take part, the next eligible player on the Order of Merit list will be offered the place.

We consider this selection process provides clarity, fairness, and transparency for all members allowing everyone to follow the CGF Cup standings throughout the season.
