07:00 – 08:30 – Breakfast / coffee available for order in restaurant

07:30 – 08:30 – Registration upstairs (visitors & executive members must pay green fees in pro shop)

07:30 – 08:30 – Raffle ticket sales

08:35 – Competition Brief and Group photos of all players next to 18 green

08:40 – Depart for your hole

09:00 – Shotgun start

02:15 – 3:00 – Finger food buffet lunch in clubhouse (no charge)

02:30 onwards – Music by DJ Maurice

02:15 – 3:00 – Charity raffle ticket sales

03:00 – prize presentation

03:15 – Charity auction

Saturday is Captain's Day.  If anyone is still interested in sponsoring a hole, please let me know by Friday.  We still have a few holes left.

We will be accepting donations for the Charity Raffle up until Saturday morning.  Please leave your dotations at the Pro shop. 

We will also have a charity auction for some amazing gifts on Saturday afternoon.

If you are not playing, you can still buy raffle tickets in the morning and support the charity auction in the afternoon.  The charity auction will take place at about 3 pm.

For those who are playing, remember that registration starts at 07:30 am.  It is going to be busy (chaos most likely) as we have 108 golfers in a shotgun start, so get there early if you can…

Finally we will have a prize for the best dressed person with the our “American Flag – Red, White and Blue” theme.

In follow-up to my last email, here are some more details about Captains Day.

The theme for the the Day is American.  Every tee will have an “American Flag” tee box that will be used by all players.

The format will be a Texas Scramble with 4 players per team.  Only 3 drives per player will be required.

On hole 6 we will have a beat the pro competition.

On hole 13, the Captain will hit a drive with your group.  You will have the option of using the Captain's drive as one of your team's drive and you can assign it to any player.  If you beat the Captain's drive (must be on the fairway), your name will go into a draw for a  prize.

Also on hole 13, we will have a drink station with a nice selection of cold  beverages.

DJ Maurice will provide music afterwards.

After golf, we will have a finger food buffet in the clubhouse followed by the prize presentation.

There will also be a charity raffle with many great prizes.  Please be generous and buy lots of tickets!

Captain's Day will be on Saturday, September 16, 2023. It will be a fun filled day with lot of prizes.  Management has been kind enough to give us the course so  it will be a Shotgun start at 09:00.  However you must arrive not later than 08:15 to you can get booked in and have time to get to your starting tee box.  We will have a group photo next to the 18th green at about 08:35.

We are expecting about 100 players on the day, so we will need volunteers to help with organization on the day.  You can both volunteer and play.  Please contact me directly if you are free to help.

Also we will be having a charity raffle on the day, so if you have any items you would like to donate, we will start accepting donations at the pro shop on Saturday, September 9th.

The winning bid for the Captain's parking place was made by Dimitri Ermakov at a price of 100 euros.  Dimitri has the right to use the Captain's parking place there until September 6th.

 

Since I will be away until September 6th, the committee and I have agreed to auction my parking spot off to the highest bidder.   The bidding will start at 50 euros and will increase in 5 euro increments.  The Auction closes on Monday, July 31st at 18:00.   If the reserve amount of 100 euros is not reached by 17:00 on July 31st, we will extend the auction 24 hours.

You can alternatively buy it outright for 200 euros.

All proceeds will benefit the Captain’s charity.  Payment must be made to the treasurer.
