Quiz Night – March 3rd, 2023 starts @ 19:30 (7:30 PM)

Just a reminder that we have a quiz night on March 3rd, 2023.  If you do not have a team, do not worry, just show up and we will get you on a team.
Hillar and Toma have advise they they will do food platters during the meal as below for € 10.00 PP.

BBQ Sausages
Mozzarella Sticks
Bruschetta
Onion Rings
Spring Rolls

So join us on Friday, March 3rd and enjoy good food, drinks and and a fun quiz night at Secret Valley.

2023 Knockout Registration

2023 Knockout registration is now open!!
Registration will close on Saturday, March 18th.  You can pay at the Pro Shop.  There will be a box for payments.  Please put your payment in an envelope and write your name(s) on the outside with the list of competitions that you have entered.   The entry fee for each knockout competitions is 5 euros per person.
If you have not paid before the draw, you will not be entered.

150 Club 2023

Dear members,

Iona Elliott has generously agreed to run the 150 club again this year.  She will collecting money during the next 3 weeks. Anyone who wishes to hold on to their number must pay during this time. After that all unpaid numbers will be open to anyone to buy. 
The total cost for the year is 50 Euros and she am happy to collect it in 2 lots of 25 Euros. 
There is a draw every month with the big draw being done on Presentation Evening in January. A total of 3,600 Euros gets paid out in prizes and the balance remaining goes to the Captain's Charity. 
The 150 Club is a major fundraiser for the Captain's charity.
There are monthly draws starting in March, 2023.
In March thru December there will be 4 prizes drawn each month – 
1st – €100
2nd – €75
3rd – €50
4th – €25

There is a final draw in January at the presentation evening with prizes as follows:

1st – €500
2nd – €300
3rd – €200
4th – €100

Quiz Night – March 3rd, 2023 at 19:00 for 19:30 start

Dear members,

Our first quiz night will be hosted by Baz McKee.  The quiz will be multiple rounds and it will be an international quiz.  Baz has said he will make it a fun night for all.  It will be teams of 6 but we will be flexible, so if you have 1 or 2 more more, that is fine.  The objective is for everyone to have an enjoyable evening.  GUESTS are very very welcome!!
It would be very helpful if you could please register your teams will Toma / Hillar at the bar so we have an idea of how many people will be there.  You can send an email to [email protected].

Captain’s Drive In

Dear members,
I would like to thank all those members who attended the prize presentation this afternoon.  If you won a prize and were not at the presentation, you can collect it from the Pro Shop.  The competition secretary will send the results to all participants  (who receive Compsec News) by email and post them on the website.
I would like to send a special thanks to all those who donated 2 euros to guess the Captain's drive distance today.  The captain's drive was 244 yards and Jamie Evans  guessed that exact number –  well done!!.  We collected 155 euros for my charity.
I hope the rest of the year was as successful as today.

Captain Pro Challenge 2023

Dear members,

Once again, Adam has agreed to participate in the Captain / Pro challenge.  This year all entry fees will support the Captain's Charity – Autism.  For those of you who have never played with Adam, this is your chance.  Plus, if you are taking lessons with Adam, it will give him insight to how you play the course, which can only help improve his lessons and your game.

Also, the team who does the best will get the Captain/Pro Trophy and the Presentation Evening at the end of the season.  Last year it was won by Ted McMichael and George Davies.

Cost 5 euros per player. 

Maximum of 6 players per team.

 

For those interested in having dinner, food will be available prior to the quiz.  Please arrive early so you can finish before the quiz starts.
