Please note, the area around the front right bunker, where marked, is GUR. If your ball is within the white markings, you need to drop in the designated drop zone to the right of the bunker. The bunker itself is in play and if your ball is in the bunker, must be played as it lyes.
Tuesday Greensomes Results
30 Players braved a stiff breeze and some dodgy partners in a fun greensomes stableford. A closely fought contest saw four groups finish on 38 points.
Winners were Secret Valleys version of Posh and Becks, George and Pauline Davies, second place went to Lars and Rigmor Pettersson and in third was Ted McMichael and Vasilis Toouli.

Last call for entries to this weekend club championships. Please get your entries in by weds lunchtime for this weekend. Even if you cannot play on saturday then register for the additional Plate competition on the sunday. Prizes include overall and net winners over the weekend and winner and runner up of the plate competition on the sunday amongst others.
Special price carvery after golf on Sunday and burger and beer deal on the saturday. Please register asap and support your club championship weekend.
SVGR v ELEA
Thanks to all who played in a closely fought contest at Elea. A very warm day with a tough wind and tricky greens saw the hosts run out the winners by 6 1/2 to 3 1/2. The losing games were also very close affairs going down to the last 2 holes.
As always, great company and now look forward to gaining revenge in a couple of weeks time at home.

Congratulations to the Secret Valley team in defeating Minthis by 6 matches to 4 in a hard fought contest. Hopefully the first of many wins this season. Many thanks to all who put their names forward and I know they are looking forward to the return on 18th April.

Many congratulations to Derek Smith and his wife on the arrival of a baby girl in the early hours of Sunday morning. 3.3kgs and both mother and baby in good health.
Captain v Vice Captain Day 1
Dear SVGR Members,
A very big thank you from Matt and Andy for playing in the first day of a hard fought pairs match play that saw the Vice Captains team take a slender 7 1/2 v 6 1/2 lead into the singles return on 30th March. Please get your names down for this as soon as possible as we are expecting a full field. The skullduggery of the captain manipulating the draw of his team with be matched by the vice captains ability to see fair play and integrity and a bit of bribery to gee the whites up to victory! Let battle commence!
