Here are photos from Saturday.
An awesomely successful effort by all concerned.
Jeni was a trooper, she and John trawled around various companies obtaining fabulous raffle prizes, she encouraged members to donate raffle prizes, halfway house treats, hole sponsors and Nearest the Pin prizes.  Plus our usual wine sponsor via Catrin.
So many people involved and we cannot mention everyone.
Thanks to Toma for the refreshments; Maurice for the music; Gail and Jane organising the raffle table and Sam & Kathy at Halfway.

Loukas Adamou Golf Day

Dear members
I wish to thank you all for the massive and generous support you gave on Saturday to help Loukas.  In every respect the day was amazing.  The atmosphere on the course and back on the balcony was truly incredible.  So many of you stayed to welcome the Adamou family and friends, and they, in turn, were astounded by the warmth and generosity extended by the members of SVGC.  To say I am lost for words is something of an understatement!  
The CEO of Prime Insurance had travelled from Nicosia and he was very impressed.  He told me that he had no idea such a beautiful place existed.  He was amazed by the warmth and generosity extended on the balcony.  He couldn’t believe that our club could be so kind and thoughtful for this young man.  Isn’t it wonderful that we made that impression.
The total achieved is in excess of €5000 but more money has been promised and I think we can expect a very generous amount.  
The support so warmly given by members and local people demonstrates the kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion and generosity of individuals who wanted to help. 
The list of individuals, who contributed in so many ways, is extensive.  That so many wanted to help is truly heartwarming.  
I am so proud of the members, indeed indebted to all for ensuring the Loukas Adamou Golf Day was such a success.

Russia Day Competition

Dear members,
this is a gentle but final reminder of the Russia Day competition scheduled for Sunday, December 22nd. Please sign up on the website while there is still a possibility. We have only seven members who have so far signed up on the site and another 35 members and guests who signed up with me directly. 
The competition is a team format Waltz 1-2-3. There will be a welcome buffet at the halfway house with Russian treats and some vodka shots. Toma has prepared a special menu for the Day. All proceeds from the competition will go to support the Rainbow in Cyprus charity helping kids with disabilities. Everyone is welcome and you can invite guests.

9 Wine & Dine Reminder

If you are intending to enter via the SV Website play next Friday (20th Dec) you will need to do so not later than noon on Sunday 15th Dec.  When you enter please note you will need to click on the 27th on the calendar as this did not change when I brought the date forward.  Apologies for any confusion.
If entry is blocked you can contact me directly, but before Tuesday.  Or you can leave a message on our Facebook page.
As usual can you add your food choices in the comments box for yourself and your guests.

Please buy your raffle tickets, cash only please, when you collect your score card outside the Pro Shop.  . 
Loukas began stem cell therapy on Monday and I know you will all wish him well.  
Please help to make this Christmas special for Loukas and his family.

Don't forget the date has been brought forward by a week.

Your food choices for December 20th are:

1    Grilled Chicken Breast Fillet
Served with Potato Medallions, Green Salad, & Honey Mustard Sauce

2    Fish & Chips
Served with Hand-Cut Cyprus Potato, Tartare sauce & Mashed Peas.
 
3    4 Cheese Ravioli
When you enter to play (no later than Sunday 15th morning) can you select your food choices (1, 2 or 3 above) for yourself and any guests please and put this in the comments box.
There will be some Festive songs (and others) from myself and special guests, so join in the spirit with your silly hats, jumpers etc and singalong.
