Dear Club Members,
I am pleased to provide theTreasurer’s Financial Statement for the period ended 31st May 2024.
I wish to draw your attention to the following:
1. The brought forward Members Funds balance at 26/1/24 has been re-instated as explained in the Committee Minutes of the meeting held on 21st May 2024 – posted earlier today to the members’ website;
2. Member’s Funds moved from a Surplus (at end April) to a Deficit (at end May) – a month movement of e(302);
3. Competition related net income benefited substantially from sponsorship income secured by the Vice Captain from 24/7 Security (of e500) and Vassiliades Winery (of e410) and a donation from the Captain (of e50), all related to the Club Championships;
4. Offsetting the substantial sponsorship income, and made possible only be having secured such sponsorship, was the cost of e(900) to cover the free buffet at the Presentation Ceremony and a cost of e(200) paid to the performers at that Ceremony (the financial benefit of which went to the Captain’s Charity);
5. At the Presentation Ceremony, an interim donation of e2,000 was presented to the Captain’s Charity. Consequently, the amount shown under the section “Charity Related Efforts” of e2,095 differs by e2,000 from the amount shown as “Provision for Captain’s donation to nominated charity” of e95.
6. The Committee remain targeted towards a year end Members Funds balance of e2,500.
