Dear Secret Valley Golf Club Member, 

I am pleased to advise that we have finally been provided with both legal and shareholder approval to re-open Secret Valley Golf Course as from Wednesday 13^th May.

We are also hopeful that over the coming days and weeks we will be in a position to relax the constraints set out below and of course, I will keep you regularly informed as to those changes.

The following applies for the period from 13^th May:

·         Opening Date: 13^th May, 2020.

 ·         Tee Times: Available 7 days per week. First tee off time 8.00 am. Last tee off time 2.00 pm, until further notice.

 ·         Tee Time Availability: Restricted to members only until further notice.

 ·         Player Numbers: restricted to 15-minute tee times and 2 balls only until further notice. (these two restrictions have been placed on all Golf Courses in Cyprus until further notice by the Cyprus Sports Association).

 ·         Player Residence: Players are restricted to residents of Paphos District only. (unfortunately, this restriction has also been placed on all Golf Courses until further notice by the Cyprus Sports Federation)

 ·         Buggies: Not available until further notice.

 ·         Driving Range: Not available until further notice.

 ·         Trolleys, Golf Clubs and Personal Items: Members who have their trolleys and clubs and personal affects stored in members club storage area or in members lockers will be able to collect same as from 7.45am, Wednesday 13^th May.

Until further notice, members are requested to take their trolleys and clubs home with them after playing their round. In the event a member requires a trolley, trolleys will be available for hire.

Members who wish to collect personal items from member’s locker rooms are requested to contact a staff member on duty to assist. Only one member at a time will be allowed entry with staff member.

  ·         Bookings Procedure:

Tee time bookings may be made either by:

1.Email: At [email protected], as from midday, Sunday 10^th May. Please note tee time bookings made by email are not guaranteed until confirmation email has been received from our bookings department – within 24 hours of receipt of request.

It is recommended that members booking on line, email their request at least 24 hours prior to requested tee time.

2.Telephone: At 26247000, from 8.30 am -2.30 pm, Monday 11^th and Tuesday 12^th May and thereafter seven days a week, 7.30am -2.30 pm

3.Golf Shop: A tee time may be made at Golf Shop immediately after playing your allocated round.

Bookings are limited to one tee time in advance.

Additional tee time may be made after the booked tee time has been played.

We appreciate that many members will wish to play as soon and as often as possible

We will do our very best to accommodate all booking requests by members, however we are, at least initially, constrained to a maximum of 48 players per day, so we request your understanding and support in this regard to ensure that all members wishing to play can do so.

Please note: No member or members guest will be allowed to play unless a previous booking time has been applied for and confirmed.

·         Arrival and Departure to and from SVGR: Members and guests are requested to arrive 10 minutes prior to allocated tee time (earlier if required to collect bags and trolleys or personal items  from club storage facility or locker room) and to leave immediately after completing your round or making a future tee time booking in the Golf Shop.

 ·         Clubhouse and Locker Room Facilities: Subject to arranged collection of previously stored personal items, clubhouse and locker rooms will remain closed until further notice.

·         Golf Shop: Will be restricted to administration of tee time bookings, payment of green fees by members guests, Executive Membership green fees or hire of trolleys. No retail sales will be allowed until further notice.

 ·         Detailed Playing and Safety Protocols: Will be sent by email to all members’ on Monday 11^th May.

Our primary concern at SVGR, is to ensure the safety and well -being of our Members, Guests and staff. We are also committed to returning to offering a full-service golfing and dining experience of the highest standard to all our guests as soon as practicably possible.

This will be an on-going process which we do not have complete control over as you will appreciate.

Your assistance in strictly following common sense social distancing at all times and understanding of the constraints we have introduced at least initially, will be much appreciated, as they are entirely there for the safety and well-being of all concerned.
