The 2022 season knockout registration has been extended until Saturday March 5^th.   Please register asap.  If you do not have a partner, you can still register and we will try to match you up with someone looking for a partner.

Dear Members,

Our first Match against MHGC is on Wednesday March 9. Ten tee times have been allocated from 08:00 until 09:30. 

The match will be played from the Yellow / Red Tees.  The interclub matches are fun matches open to all members of any ability as they are great social days.  The teams have agreed that handicaps will be limited to those used in CGF NOOM comps. Therefore men is 28 and Ladies 36.

All players must pay and stay for lunch.  The cost of the lunch will be not more than 15 euros. 

Due to problems numbers of ladies available at each club. Taking average ratios of men:ladies membership it has been agreed that we adopt 7 mens matches and 3 ladies matches per interclub match. Currently we have 13 men registered for this match and 7 ladies.  So at the minimum we need a least 1 additional man to register.

Dear Members,

Iona Elliott has agreed to run the 150 Club this year.  To help with administration the Committee has decided that numbers must be paid for in full to be included in the March draw.  That is 50 Euros which covers 10 draws.

All reserved numbers (from 2021) that have not been paid for by the end of February will be released so that they can be purchased by other Members.  The March draw will be held the last Saturday of March, so there is time to reserve and pay for your number(s).

Please contact Iona  ([email protected]) to either reserve or pay for your number(s).  Money can also be left in the Pro Shop in a sealed envelope with your name and number written clearly on the outside.

Presentation Night

Dear Members,

The Food and Beverage management have amended their costs for the Presentation Evening this coming Saturday. The menu is retained with a welcome drink on arrival but there will also be two bottles of wine per table for a reduced price of 30 euros per head.

29^th January 2022 Presentation Evening

Dear SVGR Members,

This year’s rearranged Presentation Evening will take place on 29^th January 2022 in the Golf Clubhouse.

Dress is black tie or lounge suit.

The evening will start at 6.30 for 7.00pm.

It will take the format of a four course gala dinner {please see accompanying menu} where you will be met with a welcome drink – Prosecco or a brandy sour – before proceeding to your table.

Payment for the evening will be collected on arrival. The cost will be €35p.p. Drinks are not included.

Following the dinner, the evening will proceed with the presentation of this year’s Knockout winners followed by the Honour’s list winners. The main draw for the One Hundred Club will then take place.

This completes the business end of the evening. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions  it will not be possible to have dancing but Sean Lynch will sing for us during the evening. Members are welcome to stay on at their leisure.

Please remember to bring your COVID SafePass.

To register your interest there is a folder placed in the pro shop. Please enter your name on the table plan and your menu choices on the enclosed documents ASAP. The cut off for entries will be after the AGM on the 22^nd January to allow catering to place orders, therefore early registration is required.  Numbers will be constrained to approx 100 due to space limitations. Please note that Covid restrictions dictate a maximum of eight per table.  If you registered previously for the Alexander The Great function you will still need to re-register your table entries.
