150 Club Update 12.04.2024

Dear members,
The first draw of the 2024 season will be taking place on the Club’s terrace at around 2 pm. on Tuesday, April 16th.
As you know Kirill Lyushinskiy is in charge of the 150 Club this year and he will be conducting the draw. There are still some few numbers available so please hurry and contact Kirill to secure your place.

Charity Update 08.04.2024 – correction

Dear members,


Secret Valley golf club together with “Rainbow in Cyprus” charity are pleased to inform you that thanks to your generous donations we would be able to assist two girls from Latvia rainbowcyprus.com/en/persons/daiga-with-daughters-eliza-and-tina (please follow the link) coming to the Paphos region for a vacation and cure. You would be able to meet the girls in person on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 when they will visit our Club to learn about golf and to take part in the Club Championship rewards ceremony.


I was advised that some of our members had reservations that “Rainbow in Cyprus” helps Russian children, and the members did not feel inclined to help. Firstly, I am shocked personally that diseased children are being singled out based on nationality and secondly, these two girls are coming from Latvia, an EU member state, where our three members: Tatiana and two others, are from.


As advised during the AGM the 2024 Committee has decided to spend members’ funds on members’ events and we have reduced the number of competitions where money paid in by the members are being allocated to the charity. At the same time we would like to encourage the members to give generously to the charity by buying Gold Membership and Parking Slot raffle tickets, by actively participating in the 150 Club and Quiz nights. The money you donate would make diseased children happy and could assist their recovery.

The Quiz Night on April 19th is right around the corner. I am pleased to announce that Ted McMichael will be the Quiz Master. 
Tony Hawke and Kirill Lyushinskiy have kindly agreed to be the Quiz organizers this year so be prepared to new ideas and challenges.

Club Championships Eligibility

Dear SV Golf Club Member
The following criteria has been set by the Committee for the Club Championships.
Eligibility
1. To be eligible for entry into the Club Championships, a member must have completed 3 x 18 hole handicap qualifying club competitions during the current season (from Jan).
Medical excemptions will be considered using data from the past 6 months.  Please apply via the Competitions Coordinator.
2. A member’s Handicap must be managed by Secret Valley.
3. Categories – holders of Platinum, Gold, Twilight and Executive Membership Contracts and Employment Contracts are eligible to enter.
4. Any decision by the Club Committee is final – there is no right of appeal.  
5. The Committee has the right to change the conditions if necessary.
